A Covid Update from Max | The Dover Church
News & Publications
As you know, we have been working hard to continue offering meaningful aspects of church during the last nine months of this pandemic. In the New Year, we had even hoped to accelerate the pace of offerings with more in-person church, Sunday School, Youth Group, etc.
As you also surely know, the infection rates are ticking upwards and public health officials are advising caution. We as a church are blessed have several members with M.D.s and public health professional experience. I asked them what they thought we ought to do going forward and the answer was PRUDENCE for the next 2-3 months.
To be prudent, we are closing our building again to in-person activities. Staff will not be in the building for people to drop by. Sunday School, Youth Groups, bells, etc., will not meet in the buildings. Worship will return to only livestream.
Our hope is that the warm weather will alleviate some of these challenges. In the meantime, we will wait for the schools to be able to return to fully in-person and for the local hospitals to below crisis capacity.
If you have any ideas about how we might serve you and our community more during these times, please do not hesitate to let Max, Kayla, Christine or Beth know.
